As I face a 12 month hiatus from all things civilian, a family member suggested to me that I blog throughout my military deployment. I mentioned that I had thought about sending out a newsletter to my friends and family, keep them updated and whatnot. Of course, I thought about what I said for a few seconds and remembered that I was a youth of the 21st century. Why on earth would I
not use the internet to convey my thoughts?
So I've started what is sure to be a long standing blog regarding my experience as a soldier in a country's misguided war. This should be entertaining at the very least, if not educational or meaningful in some way.
An exciting opportunity for me to practice, and for the readers to vicariously live the life of a soldier, and an eccentric one at that.
More to follow. As always, keep on keeping on.
Really Meyer? LOL just thought i would be the first one to comment on your blog due to the fact that I'm sure your readers will become familiar with me through out the next year. I will be the asshole friend of yours that never shuts up! see you on Friday.
ReplyDeleteThursday Rich. See you on Thursday, haha.
ReplyDeleteAttaboy. Looking forward to keeping up ....
ReplyDeleteDude, you're doing it wrong. You can't be disenfranchised with the war until AFTER you deploy.
ReplyDeleteStay safe.
